The premise for this spot was to have two different time speeds happening in the same frame. When using Spectrum’s services, the people are in real time, but everyone else is in high-speed timelapse.
In order to achieve the look, we had two motion control systems running, one for the camera, and one for the key sunlight. We programmed the moco to perform the same move over 4 seconds shooting normally, and then over 4 minutes shooting 360 shutter, so we could have people moving at different speeds but with an identical camera move. The long shots were then stacked into the long exposure look, and the passes were all composited together. Shot on location at a house in LA.
